Product description BFD Sphere from FXpansion is a drum sample expansion pack for the company's BFD3, BFD Eco, and BFD2 acoustic drum software, and geared towards metal and hard rock styles. Conceived by the founder of the progressive band Tesseract, the collection represents Acle Kahney's ideal drum sound, and includes four-tom DW and Vibe kits, alongside a Ludwig Black Beauty snare (hit and rim shot articulations only).
The drums were recorded at London's Sphere Studios before its relocation and were tuned to complement the acoustics of the live room. Neve preamps were used for obtaining the desired sound. Alongside the natural kits, the collection features additional processed versions designed to be dropped straight into metal and hard rock mixes. All the kits feature BFD factory cymbals and hi-hats.
