Product description G-Technology Thunderbolt 2-Equipped G-RAID and G-SPEED Studio Storage Systems Read More befyutqsdyxvyfyftfeayuxw The 12TB G-SPEED Studio Storage System with Thunderbolt 2 from G-Technology is designed for more advanced applications, like storing or saving 2K and 4K compressed video, as well as more basic storage. The G-Speed Studio has four removable enterprise drives that can be configured as RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, each of which supports performance, redundancy, or a combination of both. There are also two Thunderbolt 2 ports that support data transfer speeds up to 20 Gb/s, as well as daisy-chaining of additional devices. This unit is preformatted for Mac and compatible with Windows via reformatting.
The G-SPEED Studio comes with four 3.5" Enterprise-class drives running at 7200 rpm and configured in RAID 5. Transfer rates of up to 660 MB/s are possible when configured in RAID 0. This makes this suitable for many purposes such as backing up family photos and video, professional digital content use, and more. Also included are all necessary accessories to get the G-SPEED Studio running, such as a power cable and Thunderbolt 2 cable. - Dual Thunderbolt 2 Ports
- Thunderbolt 2 offers a single 20 Gb/s bi-directional channel that allows you to stream and write 4K video at the same time. Also daisy chain up to six Thunderbolt devices at the same time
- Hardware RAID Options
- Preconfigured with RAID 5, but also supports RAID 0, 1, and 10. RAID 0 shares data between drives giving you the best performance. RAID 1 stores identical data onto drives to preserve data if one drive fails but reduces the total storage capacity by half. RAID 5 shares and stores identical data with parity with storage capacity reduced by 25%, and RAID 10 is mirrored and striped.
