It comes preformatted HFS+ for Mac OS 10.10 and later and supports Apple Time Machine and FileVault. It can also be used with Windows 10, 8.1, and 7 via a simple reformat, is powered solely using the USB bus, and comes housed in an aluminum case. Included is a micro-USB 3.0 to USB Type-C cable and a micro-USB 3.0 to USB Type-A cable that are compatible with USB 2.0.
