Product description NAB 2019: G-Tech, SanDisk, and WD Show Off Latest Storage Solutions Read More The 2TB G-DRIVE USB 3.0 External Desktop Hard Drive by G-Technology is a spacious 2TB capacity external hard drive that features a generous 64MB cache, a fast 7200 rpm spindle speed, and hi-speed USB 3.0 and FireWire connectivity.
The USB 3.0 port can deliver maximum transfer rates of 5 Gbps. If you're a Mac-based user, you still get the convenience of FireWire 800 (backwards compatible to FireWire 400). The fanless drive has its own internal heatsink built into the unit which offers improved cooling and quiet operation.
The G-DRIVE can be used for professional video and sound editing, or to simply store your essential data. Either way, you can rest assured that the hi-speed connectivity and high capacity of this external drive will suit your needs. The unit includes all necessary cables, and is formatted for Mac (HFS+ Journaled) right out of the box. It's also Time Machine compatible.
