Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More Designed for demanding applications and multi-stream HD, 2K, 4K, and HDR workflows, the G-RAID 20TB 2-Bay Thunderbolt 3 RAID Array from G-Technology provides up to 20TB of enterprise-class storage that is made up of two 10TB 7200 rpm 3.5" hard drives and is equipped with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one USB 3.1 (USB 3.1 Gen 2) port, and one HDMI port. While one of the Thunderbolt 3 ports is used to interface with your host system at speeds of up to 480 MB/s, the other can be used to daisy chain up to five additional devices to your G-RAID. If your system doesn't have Thunderbolt 3, you can use the 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 port, while the HDMI port supports HDCP 2.2, HDR, and 4K/60 fps video passthrough. For those who wish to use this G-RAID with their USB Type-A system, a USB Type-C to Type-A cable is included that supports 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 (USB 3.1 Gen 2), 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 Gen 1), and 480 Mb/s USB 2.0.
The dual drive bays of this G-RAID support hardware-controlled RAID 0 and RAID 1. RAID 0 stripes the two drives together, providing enhanced read and write speeds, but no data redundancy, while RAID 1 mirrors the content of one drive to the other, providing 1:1 data redundancy at the cost of performance. For those who do not need the benefits of a RAID, JBOD is also supported.
The G-RAID 20TB 2-Bay Thunderbolt 3 RAID Array comes formatted for macOS 10.12+. After a simple reformat, it may also be used with Windows 8.1 and 10. Also included is a 20 Gb/s Thunderbolt cable, an AC power adapter, and a power cable. Protection is provided by a limited 5-year warranty. General Features - Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports and a single USB 3.1 Type-C (USB 3.1 Gen 2) port
- Daisy-chaining for up to 5 additional devices
- Dual 10TB 7200 rpm enterprise-class removable hard drives
- High-speed data transfers up to 480 MB/s
- Hardware RAID 0 (performance), RAID 1 (mirroring), or JBOD
- HDMI port supports HDR and 4K/60 fps video passthrough
