Product description The CM-170 Check Mate Series Type II SPL Meter from Galaxy Audio is similar to the CM-160 model, except for the data logging with clock feature, fast/slow time weighting, and electronic calibration. It can be used to measure SPL (Sound Pressure Levels) in decibels, which is the unit for measuring relative loudness of a sound. Today, there is a need to know just how loud your surroundings really are. The CM-170 is a tool that everybody working in loud environments should own from working musicians, DJs, police departments, sound contractors, to racetracks, and more. The CM-170 comes complete with batteries, a carry case, a windscreen, a USB cable, and software for the computer.
