Product description - Garmin Approach S40: Look Great on and off the Course
Up your golf game with the Approach S40 Golf Watch from Garmin. It's designed to give you essential information about the course you're playing and automatically track your shots. It comes pre-loaded with over 41,000 courses from around the world, and AutoShot detection measures and automatically records detected shot distances. If you pair it with optional CT10 club sensors, you'll enjoy more automatic game tracking and detection of putts and chip shots.
When out of the green, the sunlight-readable 1.2" color touchscreen will show you exactly the true shape of the green based on where you are. You can even manually drag-and-drop the pin location for more precise yardage and accuracy. The Approach S40 is crafted to be a stylish off the course as well. With up to 15 hours of battery life and built-in activity tracking features, the Approach S40 can easily go from your go-to golf watch to your everyday timepiece. - Green View
- With Green View, the color screen of the S40 will show you the true shape of the green from wherever you are. It will also let you manually drag-and-drop the pin location for more precise yardage. This additional accuracy gives you the ability to quickly reference distances from you to the front, middle, and back of the green, as well as distances to hazards and doglegs.
- Garmin Golf App
- All of the tracking can be put to use in the Garmin Golf app for iOS and Android devices. In conjunction with the S40, Garmin Golf gives you live scoring, automatic scorecard uploads, and the ability to review all of your golfing stats - during play in real time or after the round.
- Activity Tracking
- The S40 also doubles as an activity tracker to give you statistics on a variety of everyday activities. Track everything from steps to sleep and use the multi-sport profiles to track more than just golf. To help keep you moving and motivated, the S40 can tell you how many calories you've burned and deliver vibration alerts. Here's a list of some additional activity tracking features of the S40:
