Product description The D2 Charlie Watch from Garmin offers both GPS-supported pilot navigation and several enhanced performance features for your favorite sport or activity. For a better flying experience, the D2 offers a streamlined mode selection, robust color display, enhanced graphics, wireless connectivity options, and quick-access screen for weather information at a glance. The D2 is equipped with both GPS and GLONASS support for reliable navigation, and features full access to Garmin's Direct-to and Nearest routing functions, which help guide you to the waypoint of your choice—or find the nearest airport if you need to land quickly.
In addition to its pilot navigation assistance, the D2 also offers several performance- and sport-related features, including data tracking for running, cycling, and swimming metrics, as well as daily activity tracking. You can record and track all your performance data and share it through your smartphone and the Garmin Connect Mobile app. Garmin Connect is a free online community that lets you store and analyze your activity and performance data and interact with other Garmin product users. In addition to storing and sharing your data, Garmin Connect Mobile can also be used to send real-time METARs and smart notifications to your D2.
The D2 Charlie was engineered with a scratch-resistant optical sapphire lens that's designed to be both rugged and aesthetically pleasing. The D2's battery is a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts up to 35 hours in UltraTrac mode (without wrist heart rate), 20 hours in GPS flight mode, and 12 days in smartwatch mode. - Premium Materials and Design
- Featuring a titanium bezel with diamond-like carbon (DLC) finish, sapphire lens, and a vintage-style leather band, the D2 Charlie Aviator Watch offers premium performance and style. This sleek design also includes a bright, high-resolution, full-color Chroma Display with LED backlighting to assure readability in any lighting condition. You can customize the look with free watch faces, photos, apps, and data fields, available from Garmin's Connect IQ online store.
- Dynamic Moving Map
- In aviation mode, the D2 Charlie's detailed moving map display and extensive databases help pilots visualize their flight path. You can add multiple waypoints and fly a Direct-to course to any waypoint in your flight plan. And while in flight, you can also view your route on the GPS-referenced dynamic map display, or follow the HSI course needle to your destination.
- Weather with Radar Overlay
- The D2 Charlie provides at-a-glance updates on the weather for your airport, whether it's your destination, departure, or anywhere in between. You can access location-based meteorological reports (METARs) and terminal forecast (TAF) information. You can also bring up high-resolution radar graphics (NEXRAD) and have them overlaid on the moving map, showing you the data you need for weather trend awareness and smart preflight decision making.
- Automatic Flight Logging
- Thanks to wireless connectivity to your smartphone, the D2 Charlie makes quick work of flight logging and other record keeping tasks. During takeoff, it detects your aircraft's change in altitude and automatically initiates the logbook function, recording date, duration, total flight time, and route. After your flight is complete, the D2 Charlie will sync the logbook to flyGarmin.com and the Garmin Pilot app via your smartphone.
- Your Flight Planning Connection
- In addition to creating waypoints and routes on your watch, you can use Connext wireless technology to transfer and sync flight plans from your compatible mobile device running the Garmin Pilot app.
- Customizable Features
- With its customizable data fields, D2 Charlie makes it easy to access data that's most important to you, including current GPS groundspeed, GPS track, distance from waypoints/airports, estimated time en route, bearing, glide ratio, and other key flight parameters. An altitude alert feature can be set to notify you when reaching or leaving a preselected altitude, and you can select a stopwatch function for timing approaches or flight legs. Various other timer functions with vibrating alerts can be set to let you know when it's time to switch fuel tanks or perform other tasks.

- Beyond its full range of flight-related functions, D2 Charlie also offers a complete set of sports and training features and fitness and outdoor navigation tools.
