This GPS navigator was created with big rigs in mind, and boasts a suite of features to help you on the long haul. The Easy Break feature, for example, reminds you when it's time to rest and displays locations for food, fuel, rest areas, and ATMs. The Simple Truck Profile lets you input the size of your cab and easily change the overall size of your rig by changing trailer sizes with the push of a button, including height, weight, length, width, and hazardous materials. Simplify record keeping for your quarterly International Fuel Tax Agreement Documentation, as well as your Hours of Service and status. Record the dates and type of service performed in the included Service History Log. Locate services important to you using the preloaded Truck & Trailer Services Directory.
You can use spoken commands to enter destinations so your hands stay on the wheel. A 5" glass dual-orientation touchscreen provides you with an easy-to-read interface, and displays lifetime traffic updates to keep you moving. Active Lane Guidance helps you through difficult interchanges while junction view gives you multiple views to further assist you in finding the correct lane of travel. Direct Access simplifies navigating to select destinations, like airports and shopping malls, by finding a place like a store or terminal within a larger location. You can see upcoming points of interest as you motor along so you can pull over with plenty of time if one catches your eye. Route avoidance lets you avoid highways or tolls. Speed limit indicator helps keep you on the right side of the law by displaying limits for most major roads to help you avoid a speeding ticket.
Bluetooth wireless technology interfaces with your smartphone to access live services using Smartphone Link. This software uses your existing mobile data plan to share information, including contacts, search results, favorite locations, and your driving destination. With Smartphone Link, your GPS unit can also access Garmin Live Services for useful, real-time driving information, such as live traffic and weather forecasts. Make and receive calls using the built-in speaker and microphone keeping your hands free to drive. The built-in Wi-Fi updates your dezl automatically with no need to connect to a computer.
Dispatchers can send text messages to drivers with embedded delivery addresses, and dezl will seamlessly route to those locations. The built-in maps have lifetime updates available for free from Garmin, which are stored on the internal solid state memory. Access to Foursquare provides you with millions of points of interest, so finding a place for dinner will never be a hardship. You can add up to 1000 of your own points of interest. Add a microSD card using the built-in slot to store additional data if needed, or to upload extra information.
