Product description Turn-by-turn navigation, advanced performance data, alerts to your emergency contact in the event of an accident, and a display of your fellow riders' whereabouts are among the full suite of features in the Edge 820 Bike GPS from Garmin. With a 2.3" color touchscreen and ample connectivity, the Edge 820 can make your ride safer, more productive, and more fun. The touchscreen features an ambient light sensor, which adjusts the screen's brightness to suit light conditions. Garmin Group Track lets you keep tabs on your riding buddies (and lets them keep tabs on you), so you'll know where everyone is even if you're separated from the pack. It works by pairing with your smartphone and the Garmin Connect Mobile app. The Edge 820 is compatible with ANT+ sensors measuring speed, cadence and heart rate, and is compatible with performance monitoring gear such as Vector, Garmin's separately sold pedal-based power meter. Advanced performance monitoring capabilities include VO2 max, recovery advisor, Strava live segments, FTP, performance condition and advanced cycling dynamics. The Edge 820 Bike GPS is designed to mount to your bike's handlebars or stem for easy visibility and access. Attach the included standard or out-front mount to the desired location on your bike and then turn the GPS unit into the mount to secure it. - Safer Cycling Environment
- In the event of an accident, Garmin's Incident Detection feature can manually or automatically send your location to your emergency contacts. The Edge 820 is also compatible the Edge remote accessory, allowing you to cycle through screens while keeping your hands on the handlebar, and with Garmin's Varia line of rear-view radar and bike lights.
- Preloaded Maps
- Create routes directly on Edge 820 using the pre-loaded map and points of interest or plan and download routes using Garmin Connect or third-party apps.
- Round-Trip Routing
- Round-trip routing can help guide your ride if you want to discover new routes in your hometown or when you're away and want to explore. Simply enter how far you want to ride, starting direction and elevation parameters, and Edge 820 calculates up to 3 cycling-friendly routes.
- GPS and GLONASS Support
- Edge 820 is compatible with GPS and GLONASS satellites, so you benefit from more signal options, wherever your ride takes you
