Product description Cell phones are great as long as you have a signal, but with the Garmin inReach SE+ Satellite Communicator, you're always in touch, anywhere in the world. With a satellite service subscription, you can send and receive text messages, send SOS messages to the GEOS 24/7 search and rescue monitoring center, navigate your route, and share your location and progress with family and friends back home. The Bluetooth-enabled inReach can pair with your regular mobile phone or tablet to access downloadable maps, U.S. NOAA charts, color aerial imagery, and more. You'll get up to 100 hours of active-use runtime from one charge of the inReach's built-in lithium-ion battery, via the included micro-USB power cable or optional in-vehicle 12V charger. The device is IPX7-rated, so it will stand up to rain, snow, splashing, or immersion 3.3' deep for up to 30 minutes. - Satellite Connectivity
- With a subscription to the Iridium satellite network, you can text a cell phone number or email address from anywhere in the world, while using GPS to track and share your journey's progress. You can also post to social media or communicate in the field with other inReach devices.
- 24/7 SOS Monitoring
- Even deep in the back country, far from any cell tower, you can send an SOS to the GEOS 24/7 search and rescue monitoring center, which has saved thousands of lives in 140 countries since its inception in 2005. You'll be able to communicate with GEOS until your situation is resolved.
- Track & Share Your Whereabouts
- Family and friends can track your progress on the MapShare portal. You can also embed your MapShare page on a blog, website, or social media.
- Pair with Mobile Device
- Use the included Earthmate app to sync the inReach with your phone's contact list, use inReach features on your mobile device, and access unlimited maps, aerial imagery, and U.S. NOAA charts.
- Cloud-Based Storage and Trip Planning
- The inReach comes with access to a cloud-based portal to plan your trips with routes and waypoints, create preset messages and quick texts, sync and manage your device settings, update your firmware, download additional topo maps, link your social media accounts, store all your location tracking data, and much more.
