Product description This Garner kit packages the TS-1 Degausser, PD-5 Hard Drive Destroyer, and SCAN-1 System together. The powerful, NSA-listed TS-1 degausser features a robust 20,000-gauss (2-tesla) magnetic field, and a 45-second complete erasure time. Track and document the erasure of your data using the included SCAN-1 system, complete with barcode scanner and report-generator software (download). The NSA-listed PD-5 Destroyer offers an additional level of data destruction, crushing hard drives with 15,500 pounds of force. Suitable for laptop, standard, and full-height hard drives, the PD-5 has an under 18-seconds crushing cycle, and accepts drives up to 2.25" in height. - TS-1 Hard Drive and Tape Degausser (NSA/CSS EPL-Listed) The TS-1 Hard Drive and Tape Degausser from Garner is an NSA-listed degausser featuring a robust 20,000-gauss (2-tesla) magnetic field, and a 45-second complete erasure time. Suitable for hard drives up to 1.3" high, and multiple tape formats, the TS-1 erases evenly, regardless of the media's orientation in the TS-1 drawer. This degausser erases both perpendicularly- and longitudinally-recorded drives up to 5000 Oe, and up to 3000-Oe magnetic tape media. The TS-1's built-in verification system confirms the strength of each erasure cycle in a bar graph format. Besides field strength, the TS-1 Degausser's LCD screen displays erasure status, a media count, and diagnostics. Compatible with standard office wall outlets, the TS-1 also features quiet operation, a table-top design, and four retractable handles for two-person lifting.

This powerful, high-speed, destroyer bends, breaks, and mangles hard drives, including data platters and other internal components, thwarting data recovery. The PD-5 is software-independent, destroying up to eight laptop-, two standard-, or one full-height hard drive per cycle. Drives are destroyed in 18 seconds or less, meeting NSA emergency-destruction guidelines. The Garner PD-5 Destroyer automatically senses the inserted media type, and can run continuously without cooling down between cycles. Its office-friendly design is quiet, free of hydraulic fluid, and offers push-button operation with an LCD display screen. The optional SSD-1 accessory destroyer expands the PD-5's range to include solid-state drives, including laptop SSDs, solid-state hybrid drives (SSHDs), flash, compact flash, thumb, and other USB drives (SSD-1 not included).
