Product description The Gefen 4K Multi-Format 4 x 1 Scaler with Auto-Switching is an HDBaseT presentation switcher featuring HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, and VGA inputs that can be switched manually or set to switch automatically. On the output end, the 4 x 1 offers split HDMI and HDBaseT outputs, allowing you to send the signal to both a local and remote display at the same time. The HDBaseT output transmits a DCI/UHD 4K signal up to 130' and WUXGA/1080p60 signal up to 230' over a single CAT5e cable to a corresponding receiver, sold separately. The same cable can also carry PoH (Power-over-HDBaseT) to the receiver. For audio, an independent 3.5mm input is linked to the DVI and VGA video inputs, and a 3-pin Phoenix output allows you to de-embed the HDMI or DisplayPort audio. The scaler/switcher can be controlled via the front panel, IR remote control, contact closure, and RS-232 serial control.
The HDMI input supports DCI 4K at 24/30 Hz 4:4:4 and UHD 4K at 60 Hz 4:2:0 and 30 Hz 4:4:4. The DisplayPort input supports up to UHD 4K. The HDMI and HDBaseT ports also support up to 7.1-channel LPCM and HBR (High-Bit Rate) lossless digital audio, such as Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, and DTS-HD Master Audio.
The DVI and VGA inputs support up to WUXGA and 1080p resolution, while a built-in scaler is capable of upscaling lower resolution DVI and VGA signals with legacy aspect ratios to widescreen WUXGA or 1080p 60 Hz signals, allowing for better presentations and more seamless switching transitions between the inputs.
The 4 x 1 has advanced EDID management to ensure that your sources are optimized for the displays being used. Encased in a compact housing, the switcher can be set on a desktop or other surface or mounted hidden away using the included mounting brackets. The HDMI ports, the power port, and all but the DisplayPort inputs feature locking connectors to allow for reliable connections. Note: A shielded (STP) CAT5e or better cable is recommended. Unshielded (UTP) cables may be acceptable depending on cable quality. - Key Features
