Product description If you need two nearfield monitors for a small pro-audio mixing environment, consider the 8320 Stereo SAM Kit. This kit gives you two 4" 8320APM monitors that utilize Genelec's SAM DSP to help foster accuracy in suboptimal acoustic environments. The monitors' drivers are connected to dedicated Class-D power amplifiers to ensure a clean, powerful performance. A Minimum Diffraction Enclosure coupled with a Directivity Control Waveguide help ensure a flat response across the frequency spectrum as well as precision stereo imaging. The included GLM 2.0 Kit is a system designed to network the monitors together, measure the acoustic response of your room, and calibrate the speakers accordingly. A volume controller gives you control of the level. - 2 x Genelec 8320A Bi-Amplified Smart Active Monitor (Single) The single 8320A Bi-Amplified Smart Active Monitor from Genelec is a two-way monitor designed for professional applications. It features built-in Smart Active Monitor (SAM) digital signal processing (DSP), with the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software designed to provide accuracy and ease of use in difficult acoustic environments.
The high performance drivers are directly connected to dedicated D Class power amplifiers. System protection is implemented as a part of the SAM signal processing. The MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) enclosure is made of die-cast aluminum and shaped to reduce edge diffraction, and is combined with the Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW). - Genelec GLM 2.0 User Kit The GLM 2.0 User Kit from Genelec is an accessories kit designed for Genelec's GLM 2.0 networking system. It includes a GLM network adapter, a microphone with a holder, a USB cable, and a GLM network cable.
The GLM 2.0 Loudspeaker Manager Software is available for download with the purchase of a GLM 2.0 User Kit. GLM 2.0 is a monitor control networking system that manages connectivity with up to 30 SAM studio monitors and subwoofers. The GLM software is compatible with Windows and Mac and features level adjustment, distance delays, and flexible room response compensation equalization with the AutoCal automated calibration system. All parameters and settings are stored in system setup files or saved in each individual monitor or subwoofer if the GLM network needs to be disconnected. GLM 2.0 Loudspeaker Manager Software - Connectivity with up to 30 SAM monitors and subwoofers
- User interface designed for fast, easy setup
- Adapts SAM monitors to various environments
- Provides neutral sound reproduction via flat system frequency response for in-room calibration
- Automatic calibration of levels and distance-compensating delays for accurate and stable sound stage imaging
- Stores calibration settings for different listening positions and instantly recalls them during the production stage
- Symmetrical or individualized stereo pair equalization compensation
- Subwoofer crossover phase is set for all subwoofers on the network
- Each monitor group has its own AutoCal calibration file
- Groups contained in one GLM system setup file can use both analog and digital input
- Unlimited number of system setup files
- Volume control via external wired or wireless volume controller or GLM software master fader
- Real-time on-screen SPL reading of the active monitor group
GLM AutoCal Calibration Module - Provides an integrated process for complete automated measurement, analysis, and adjustment of every monitor on the GLM control network
- Aligns relative levels, compensates distance differences, and adjusts correct crossover phase for all subwoofers on the network
- Acoustic Response Editor provides graphical display of measured response, filter compensation, and system response for each monitor, with full manual control of acoustic settings
- SinglePoint and MultiPoint microphone positions provide measurements for one-, two-, or three-person mixing environments
