Product description This single PWB80 Pressurewound Rollerwound Electric Bass String from GHS is .080 gauge and universal long scale with a 37.25" winding lengrh. It is ideal for electric bass players who want to be easy on their fingerboards but not give up that roundwound "growl." Pressurewound strings are made with magnetically active Alloy 52 wrap wire tightly wound around a steel hex core wire, and slightly flattened to an oval shape by computer-controlled precision rollers during the winding process. This .080 gauge semi-flat string retains the character of a roundwound string, but delivers a mellower tone with plenty of articulation and less finger noise. Should you break a string, this individual .080 can be used as a replacement to complete your set of Pressurewounds, or you can make up a custom set with single strings in any gauges you select.
