Product description Designed for building server systems, the MD30-RS0 Dual LGA 2011-3 ATX Motherboard (rev. 1.0) from Gigabyte supports Intel Xeon E5-2600 V3 / V4 processors with its two LGA 2011-3 sockets. The 12 x 10" MD30-RS0 DDR4 comes equipped with an Intel C612 chipset and supports various versions of Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Ubuntu, and VMWare operating systems.
The MD30-RS0 DDR4 has eight DDR4 DIMM slots that can support four-channel memory. This motherboard also has ten SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, three PCIe Gen3 x8 slots, a PCIe Gen2 x4 slot, a PCIe Gen2 x1 slot, a PCIe Gen3 mezzanine type T slot, and two GbE LAN ports. Graphics support is integrated in the Aspeed AST2400 controller, which supports 2D video at a resolution of up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz and 32 bits per pixel.
Included with this motherboard are two SATA III 6 Gb/s cables and an I/O shield. It is protected by a limited 3-year warranty. - DDR4 Memory Supported
- This motherboard supports 4-channel DDR4 memory, ECC RDIMM / LRDIMM modules, single- and dual-rank RDIMM modules up to 32 GB, and 3DS LRDIMM modules up to 128 GB.
- Intel Xeon E5-2600 V3 / V4 Processor Supported
- Intel Xeon E5-2600 V3 and Intel Xeon E5-2600 V4 processors can both be used with this motherboard.
- Memory Frequency
- Based on the LGA 2011-3 socket, it supports a maximum frequency of 2133 MHz by default in any memory configuration.
- Add-On SAS Card Storage Flexibility
- In addition to its ten SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, the MD30-RSO has eight SAS 6 Gb/s ports that can be activated with the addition of the proprietary CRA220-8 add-on RAID card.
- Easy BIOS Update
- This integrated function (no utility to install) lets you update the BIOS of your motherboard without having to install CPUs, memory, drives, and operating system, and without having to power on the system (a power supply must be connected). One board can be updated at a time via the IPMI 2.0 web interface and multiple boards can be updated simultaneously via the command line.
- IPMI Web Interface Remote Board Management
- This motherboard has an onboard controller providing comprehensive remote board monitoring and management features, such as remote boot & reset, remote image mounting, full control over network, users & services, and complete system monitoring & diagnostics.
- All IR Power Design
- The board's CPU and memory power delivery is ensured by IR Digital PWM and IR PowIRstage IC controllers. These components guarantee a stable operating environment and allow the processors and the memory to deliver their maximum performance.
- OS-CON Capacitors
- The boards are built with long-lasting components for high reliability in order to support the service life which is a minimum of 50,000 hours.
- High-End Ferrite Core Chokes
- The chokes installed on the boards contribute an ultra-stable power delivery to the CPU and the memory.
