Product description Designed for building server systems, the MX31-BS0 LGA 1151 microATX Motherboard (rev. 1.1) from Gigabyte supports Intel Xeon E3-1200 V6/V5 processors and 7th/6th Gen Intel Core i3, Celeron, and Pentium processors with its LGA 1151 socket. The 9.6 x 9.6" MX31-BS0 motherboard comes equipped with an Intel C232 chipset and supports various Windows Server, Ubuntu, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server operating systems.
The MX31-BS0 has four DIMM slots that support dual-channel DDR4 memory. This motherboard also has six SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a PCIe Gen3 x16 slot, a PCIe Gen3 x8 slot, an M.2 slot, and two GbE LAN ports. Graphics support is integrated in the Aspeed AST2400 controller, which supports 2D video at a resolution of up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz and 32 bits per pixel.
Included with this motherboard are two SATA III 6 Gb/s cables and an I/O shield. It is protected by a limited 3-year warranty. - DDR4 Memory Supported
- This motherboard supports dual-channel 1.2V DDR4 memory and ECC UDIMM modules.

- Intel Xeon E3-1200 V6/V5 processors and 6th/7th Gen Intel Core i3 / Celeron / Pentium processors can be used with this motherboard.
- M.2 Slot Onboard
- The onboard M.2 slot provides PCI-Express connectivity for SSD devices with a data transfer speed of up to 10 Gb/s. It supports cards up to 3.1 x 0.8", including M.2 PCIe SSD cards up to 10 Gb/s and M.2 SATA SSD cards up to 6 Gb/s.
- Easy BIOS Update
- This integrated function (no utility to install) lets you update the BIOS of your motherboard without having to install CPUs, memory, drives, and operating system, and without having to power-on the system (a power supply must be connected). One board can be updated at a time via the IPMI 2.0 web interface, and multiple boards can be updated simultaneously via the command line.
- Remote System Management
- This motherboard is equipped with an onboard Aspeed AST2400 controller, providing comprehensive remote system monitoring and management features, such as remote boot & reset, remote image mounting, full control over network, users & services, and complete system monitoring & diagnostics.
- All IR Power Design
- The board's CPU and memory power delivery is ensured by IR Digital PWM and IR PowIRstage IC controllers. These components promote a stable operating environment and allow the processor and the memory to deliver their maximum performance.
- OS-CON Capacitors
- The server motherboard is built with long-lasting components for reliability and a minimum service life of 50,000 hours.
- High-End Ferrite Core Chokes
- The chokes installed on the board contribute to an ultra-stable power delivery to the CPU and the memory.
