The GigaPan EPIC Pro Robotic Camera Mount with Promote Control Kit from B&H combines the versatile robotic camera mount with an efficient remote camera control to enable highly effective automatic camera placement and exposure control. These two tools work together to provide a sound solution for creating HDR and focus-stacked imagery as well as multiple-frame stitched panoramic photographs. The EPIC Pro is a controllable camera mount that allows for detailed programming of camera placements for recording numerous frames of scene that are later stitched together to create detailed panoramic or focus-stacked imagery. The mount supports a wide variety of DSLR cameras up to 10 lb in weight, and works on any tripod with a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 thread. Camera placement adjustments and panoramic settings are visible on a rear backlit LCD monitor and a remote trigger port is integrated into the design to enable the seamless use of a remote trigger, such as the Promote Control. The Promote Control is an advanced remote control for automating multiple exposure shooting processes. The control supports the creation of customizable time-lapse shooting, HDR imagery, and bracketed shooting techniques for up to 45 individual exposures. Additionally, it also supports programmable focus stacking sequences for gaining extensive depth of field and sharp focus throughout the entire image. Exposure adjustments and settings can be viewed and controlled using the backlit LCD monitor and a flexible user interface design. It requires two AA batteries for use or can be paired with an AC power source for extreme long exposure capabilities. Time-Lapse Tips and Tools Shawn C.
