Product description Gitzo Revamps Boompole Lineup with Lighter and Stiffer Carbon Fiber Read More The 15.5' Gitzo GB4571XLUS is a Series 4 carbon fiber seven-section boompole designed to provide stable, lightweight support for boom operators, recordists, and sound assistants in television, video, and film production. Ideal for ENG and EFP recording projects, it features Gitzo's Carbon eXact tubes for enhanced stiffness without increasing weight. The telescoping sections allow for easy length adjustment from 39 to 186 inches (15.5' maximum). The ergonomic GB4571XLUS supports internal or external cabling as well as bottom- or side-exit configuration thanks to removable cable management attachments. The rubber foot and front-hand grip ensure safe resting and comfortable holding for a variety of sessions. A 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 reversible screw allows for proper affixing of most microphone clips, holders, and shockmounts. - Smart Cable Handling
- Cable management has been carefully developed to increase operation speed and make in-field handling easier. This Gitzo microphone boompole is designed to facilitate internal cabling and avoid unwanted noise. The audio cable (available separately) can be easily fed through the boom thanks to removable top and bottom attachments. The cable can exit from both sides in a natural position, allowing operators to rest by placing the boompole vertically on the floor, without pinching the cable. Users can also choose to run the cable outside the boom at any time.
- Rigid Tubes
- The tubing has been upgraded to state-of-the-art Carbon eXact tubes which are stiffer than their Carbon 6X predecessors. Larger tube diameters enable the booms to achieve enhanced levels of stiffness and rigidity, even when fully extended, while maintaining lightness.
- Ergonomic and Comfortable
- The rubber grip added for the front hand helps users hold the boompole stably and comfortably. The bottom end is equipped with a rubber foot, enabling operators to place the boom vertically on the floor with the cable exiting from the sides without the risk of pinching it.
- Attachment and Options
- The boompole is equipped with a 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 reversible screw, allowing connection to most mic holders, including the Gitzo G11510N, and other equipment such as tripod heads and cameras. With the optional 3/8"-16 to 5/8" adapter G1145, the boompole can connect to other microphone holders with a 5/8" thread.
