Product description The GS3313GS Geared Center Column from Gitzo is an aluminum center column designed for use with series 3 and 4 Systematic tripods. The column may be installed by removing the tripod's base plate, inserting the center column, and locking the column in place.
The primary feature of the GS3313GS is its geared mechanism, which allows the user to make incremental vertical adjustments with the use of an integrated cranking handle. When the desired height is reached the user may then use the disc-lock equipped central collar to lock the column in place.
The column features a native height of 18.5" which includes 12.6" of travel distance from maximum height to minimum height. It weighs 2.4 lb, a manageable weight which compliments its professional quality and durability, and also includes a bottom mounted ballast hook for adding additional stabilizing weight if needed.
