Product description - Glide Gear Portable Travel Jib Review & Demo
The Glide Gear JB4 4' Telescoping Jib is a flexible production tool for creating cinematic moves. It features an adjustable reach from 20" to 4' as measured from the fulcrum and supports up to 6 pounds of camera and accessories. It is made from CNC machined 6061 aluminum for its balance of weight to strength and weighs in at only 6 pounds.
The jib's versatility is further enhanced by the included L-bracket that lets you mount a second camera to the side of the camera platform. Both the camera platform and the removable L bracket have built-in bubble levels so that you can confirm level. The jib mounts to an optional tripod via either a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded mounting stud. The camera platform and L bracket feature 1/4"-20 camera tie-downs. - The jib has an extendable reach of 20" to 4', by loosening the locking levers on the arm.
- The jib uses optional standard dumbell sized counterweights to balance the weight of your camera, and the counterweight arm extends backwards for fine-tuning. Glide Gear recommends between 5 and 10 pounds of counterweight, depending on your camera.
- The jib is CNC machined from strong, yet lightweight 6061 aluminum and painted with a scratch resistant black paint to provide protection from the rigors of production.
- A 1/4"-20 to 3/8"-16 adapter is included.
- All necessary hardware and tools, except for a tripod or counterweights, are included.
- Glide Gear recommends that you support the jib using an optional professional grade tripod that can handle more than the combined weight of the camera and jib.
