Product description NAB 2019: G-Tech, SanDisk, and WD Show Off Latest Storage Solutions Read More The 5TB Studio mini 5400 rpm USB 3.0 External Hard Drive from Glyph Technologies is small enough to fit in your pocket, yet powerful enough to support high track-count audio sessions with data transfer speeds of up to 140 MB/s. It can also save a variety of files including movies, video, music, photos, and more with its 5TB capacity. With a 5400 rpm rotational speed, data can be transferred to and from the drive quickly and efficiently to greatly enhance workflows. Accompanying the enhanced data transfer capabilities, the Studio mini comes with a plethora of connection options including one micro-USB 3.0 port, two FireWire 800 ports, and one eSATA port, making it easy to connect it to nearly any computer configuration. To eliminate the need for an additional power adapter, both the micro-USB 3.0 and FireWire 800 ports support bus power, drawing the necessary power directly from the port, although a dedicated power supply is available as a separate purchase. The Studio mini comes preformatted HFS+ for Mac, but can easily be reformatted for Windows or Linux. Included is a micro-USB 3.0/2.0 cable and a FireWire 800 cable. Protection is provided by a limited 1-year advanced replacement warranty, a limited 2-year level 1 data recovery warranty, and a limited 3-year hardware warranty. - The Glyph Studio mini comes preformatted HFS+ with Journaling for Mac and is Time Machine compatible out of the box. A simple reformat is all it takes for the Studio mini to work with Windows systems.
- Bus Power
- While the Studio mini may be powered using its micro-USB 3.0 or FireWire 800 ports, an external power supply is available as an optional purchase. The Studio mini may not be powered using the eSATA port.
- Front Panel LED
- The Studio mini front panel has a bi-color LED. The LED will display solid blue when power is on and it will flash blue when there is disk activity. The LED will flash or display a solid red color when error conditions exits with the drive or enclosure. Any error that results in the system state "Halted" generates a solid red LED on the front panel of the drive. All other errors result in the blinking red LED.
