Product description How to Use ND Filters: Tips, Tricks, and Special Effects Read More The 55mm 2Peak Variable Neutral Density Filter from Gobe is a variable neutral density filter that provides an exposure reduction of 1 to 8.65 stops. It can be used to create a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. The degree of density is easily controlled by rotating the front filter ring, helping you to predetermine the additional exposure length required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. For easier, repeatable control over density settings, the front ring is also visually demarcated with lines that represent different density values. This Gobe filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity and features a 58mm front mount, which helps to reduce the likelihood of vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses. - Variable neutral density filter allows you to apply differing amounts of density from scene to scene.
- 2x to 400x filter factor darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.
