Product description

The STORM Mobile Multi I/O Processor from Grass Valley strengthens the EDIUS non-linear editing system's real-time field editing capability by providing a variety of inputs and outputs including HDMI (for video formats up to 1080i), analog component, analog composite, S-Video, and unbalanced audio. It fits into the internal 5" drive bay of desktops via a PCIe x1 card interface (available separately). The STORM Mobile offers integrated hardware down-conversion function for editing HD content to an SD output, for example, creating DVDs. It has a separate headphone output with a digital amplifier for audio monitoring. By using the HDMI output of your camcorder, you can capture videos with this STORM Mobile processor at a higher quality (HQ mode: 4:2:2, I-Frame, 150 Mb/s) than with outputting AVCHD (4:2:0, Long GOP, 18 Mb/s). This is very useful when creating footage for keying work. MXF capture with MPEG-2 (XDCAM compatible) or AVC-Intra (P2 compatible) is also available.
  • HDMI input/output for connectivity with HDMI devices and real-time monitoring for EDIUS non-linear editing system software (available separately)
  • Component, S-Video, and composite analog video input/output
  • 8-channel embedded audio through HDMI
  • Requires a PCIe x1 card interface (available separately) for desktop PC connection
  • Unbalanced stereo analog audio input/output
  • Real-time display streamlines workflows
  • Hardware down-conversion to monitor HD project in an SD monitor at the same time
  • Always outputs a true, native resolution picture without any frame skipping or degradation
  • 3D Y/C Separation function allows you to capture old analog formats at the best possible picture quality for making old VHS, Video8, and Hi8 assets
  • Allows for high-quality capture from camera through output
  • Power supplied via desktop PCIe x1 card
  • 5 VDC operation
