Product description Hawke Sport Optics delivered the 5-30x50 Frontier 30 Side Focus Riflescope specifically to address the needs of low-light and long-range precision shooters and hunters. To emphasize its goals, Hawke outfitted the scope with a large 50mm objective, which can scoop more light at dawn and dusk than an average scope, and an illuminated reticle. The fully multi-coated optics offer 21 layers of anti-reflection coatings to further increase resolution and image brightness. Another highlight is the TMX Reticle with an illuminated center area. The reticle pattern consists of a crosshair with milling crossbars and a drop-down grid of dots to help you make accurate compensation for ballistics and wind shifts. Because it is in the second image plane, the reticles readouts scale down proportionately with increasing magnification: going from 10x to 20x will change values by a factor of two. At 10x, the reticle provides 16 MRAD of total holdover range and 6 MRAD of windage range on each side. This milling grid is introduced to provide you with aiming points for any weather or situation, and to allow you to adjust your shots quickly without using windage and elevation knobs. For added accuracy, you can easily correct the parallax effect from 30 yd to infinity with the adjustable objective ring. To help with compensation for wind and ballistic bullet drop, the riflescope offers 18 MRAD of windage and elevation adjustment range and a 1/10 MRAD per click impact point correction.
The scope's aluminum construction is centered around its 30mm single-piece maintube. It is filled with nitrogen for fogproof and waterproof performance. The overall design features a slender and unobtrusive shape with exposed graduated tactical-style turrets. To prevent recoil-related zoom shift, the fast-focus eyepiece is outfitted with a high-torque zoom ring. To keep your scope's lenses protected from debris, dust, and dirt while it is not used, one objective lens cap and one ocular lens cap are also included. Other included accessories are a lens cloth, one CR2032 battery, and a screw-in sunshade. - Optical Performance
