Product description With a small and lightweight form factor, the green Hawke Optics 8x25 Nature-Trek Monocular features a compact phase-corrected BAK4 roof prism and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics. These combine to make a versatile and capable optic that produces bright and clear images with accurate color rendition. A moderate 8x power helps to bring distant subjects in for observation without narrowing the field of view and exit pupil too much, and the 25mm objective, coupled with the optical features, makes the Nature-Trek ideally suited for most quick and casual glassing needs.Complementing the optical performance are construction details that make the monocular durable and comfortable to use. These details start with a lightweight, impact and corrosion-resistant polycarbonate chassis that is protected by green rubberized armor. This armoring is textured to give it a non-slip grip, especially in cold and wet conditions. The optical tube is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof—especially in extreme weather conditions. A simple diopter ring focuser allows the monocular to be quickly and easily focused, and the twist-up eyecup provides comfortable use with or without eyewear. - Optical Performance
