Product description The HDfury Nano GX HDMI to Analog RGB Converter is a small in-line digital to analog converter. If you need to exhibit digital media from a digital source, such as a Blu-ray player, or a computer that doesn't have a VGA output, the Nano GX can convert HDMI or DVI signals to VGA for compatibility with legacy or analog equipment. A separate 3.5mm jack outputs a stereo analog audio signal de-embedded from the digital video signal. Before the digital to analog conversion process, the Nano GX decodes HDCP, enabling protected HD content to be passed through. A rotary potentiometer can be adjusted to tweak the gamma, restoring shadow information from otherwise crushed black areas of the image. The power requirements for this device are very small, and in many cases, the Nano GX can be powered by the current provided by the HDMI or DVI connection. Should that power be insufficient, a USB power cable is included (separately available power supply required). Note: Some older DVD players use a non-ratified version of HDCP which the Nano GX will not be able to decode. Check with the manufacturer for a firmware update to comply with the ratified HDCP standard.
