The Apple TV remote doesn't require line-of-sight and the signal will bounce off surrounding walls. This mount is designed to keep your compatible Apple TV safe. It is compatible with the second-generation Apple TV released in 2010, the third-generation Apple TV released in 2012, as well as the updated third-gen Apple TV released in 2013. - Constructed from durable cold-rolled heavy-gauge steel designed to securely hold the Apple TV in place
