Product description The silver HIFIMAN RE800 are in-ear headphones featuring an aluminum alloy housing, as well as 9.2mm dynamic topology drivers. This construction—a proprietary technology—uses a nano-particle coating applied to its surface, giving the RE800 the clarity and precision of in-ear headphones sporting multiple-driver designs, but without the crossover issues and coherency problems often found in multiple-driver configurations.With this topology driver, distortion common in other dynamic drivers is sufficiently mitigated. Likewise, whereas balanced-armature drivers can sometimes deliver a flat soundstage and produce high levels of distortion, the topology dynamic design presented herein provides a smooth frequency representation, offers an exciting dynamic response, and again, minimizes distortion. The RE800 in-ear monitors yield a frequency response of 5 Hz to 20 kHz and operate at a sensitivity of 105 dB.
