Product description The 3U 16-Bay Thunderbolt 2 Storage and 3-Slot PCIe Expansion Enclosure from High-Point Technologies features 16 drive bays, each capable of holding a 3.5" SAS/SATA hard drive. It combines integrated storage with PCIe expansion. This rackmount enclosure has three PCIe slots for Fiber-Channel/SAS/SATA RAID HBA/10G networking/Video/Audio PCIe cards with the Thunderbolt Aware driver. This enclosure is designed for A/V professionals who use Thunderbolt capable, compact form factor computing platforms. This enclosure employs Intel's Thunderbolt 2 interface technology, and delivers 20 Gb/s I/O performance for host platform with a Thunderbolt connection. Three integrated PCIe slots support selection of Thunderbolt enabled PCIe cards, including RocketRAID host adapters. - The enclosure is a Thunderbolt 2 rackmount solution to combine integrated storage with PCIe expansion. It is designed for A/V professionals who use Thunderbolt capable, compact form-factor computing systems such as the Mac Pros, Mac minis, iMacs, and Mac Book Pros. The integrated PCIe slots can support up to 3 Thunderbolt enabled PCIe cards.
