Product description The HighPoint RocketRAID 4310 SAS 3 GB/s RAID Host Bus Adapter is ideal for applications such as video capture and editing, CAD/CAM and digital graphics. Based on HighPoint's TerabyteArchitecture, it offers performance and data protection. The Intel IOP348 I/O Processor delivers enterprise-class SAS RAID 5 and RAID 6 performance (749 MB/s read and 628 MB/s write) for mission critical applications that require higher levels of sustained performance, availability and native expansion. - 4-Port Internal SAS Host RAID HBA
- The RocketRAID combines HighPoint's TerabyteArchitecture and the Intel IOP348 I/O processor, to deliver industry leading RAID 6 and RAID 5 performance plus robust fault tolerance protection for SATA and SAS storage.
- Ready for Use - Native Linux, FreeBSD Embedded, WHQL certified
- The RocketRAID is ready for use out-of-the-box. Broad Operating System support includes native Linux, embedded FreeBSD and WHQL certified drivers. RocketRAID controller includes an installation guide for the hardware and software plus a software CD for mainstream Operating Systems. Optional items include a battery backup and multi lane cables that attach directly to SATA drives.
- RAID 6 Dual Parity Protection
- The RocketRAID offers robust hardware RAID 6 protection, an additional disk drive failure tolerance provided by a second independent distributed parity scheme. It provides protection for mission critical data from two concurrent disk drive failures. For instance, eliminating the risk of data loss if a second drive fails while rebuilding is in process. An optional battery backup with integrated write journaling enhances data availability through rapid data recovery from power outage events.
- Connect and Manage
- The RocketRAID 4300 SAS/SATA series utilize the industry's fastest connectivity with PCIe x8 bus speed to deliver over 1.2 GB/s throughput. The HighPoint RAID Management Suite is a complete spectrum of application tools. Independent RAID Module on Board is the industry's premier RAID management interface that provides a dedicated physical path to manage RAID arrays. The INRMB offers a robust and convenient management tool with cross platform support out-of-the-box.
