Product description Add the speed and storage capabilities of 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 and RAID to your Windows or Mac system using the RocketStor 6124V 4-Bay USB 3.1 Gen 2 RAID Enclosure from HighPoint. In addition to USB 3.1 Gen 2 (USB 3.1), it is also compatible with other connections that use the USB Type-C interface, such as Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0).
The RocketStor 6124V has four drive bays that support 3.5"/2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. Once drives are installed, these four drive bays can be configured in a variety of RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, each of which offers performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. When configured as a RAID 0, sustained read and write speeds reach as high as 1000 MB/s. When configured as a RAID 5, sustained read speeds also reach 1000 MB/s, although sustained write speeds max out at 750 MB/s. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD and single disk modes are also available.
Using an integrated LCD panel, users can monitor environmental conditions in real time, such as temperature, as well as adjust the speed of the 80mm fan. Additionally, solid and flashing LED indicators alert users as to the status of the enclosure's power, drive access, drive failures, and drive rebuilding.
HighPoint's RocketStor 6124V 4-Bay USB 3.1 Gen 2 RAID Enclosure operates using an included 250W power supply that runs at 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. Included is a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, four drive trays, a UL power cord, sixteen 3.5" mounting screws, and sixteen 2.5" mounting screws. Protection is provided by a limited 2-year warranty. - HighPoint's second generation 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 RAID enclosure, the RocketStor 6124V, can deliver up to 1000 MB/s of sustained transfer performance. HighPoint's Turbo RAID Technology enables each RocketStor 6124V enclosure to host high-performance RAID 5 arrays across four hard drives, and up to 56TB of capacity, or 14TB drives in each of the four bays.

- The universal nature of USB connectivity makes setup and installation user-friendly. The RocketStor 6124V requires only a single cable between the enclosure and host system. The RocketStor 6124V is fully compatible with Thunderbolt 3 / USB Type-C connectors. Combined with their Turbo RAID IP and 4-independent drive bays, the RocketStor 6124V is a truly viable alternative to high-priced Thunderbolt 3 storage solutions.
- Integrated LCD Panel for Temperature Monitoring & Fan Control
- Each RocketStor 6124V features a built-in LCD panel that displays the enclosure's environmental conditions in real time. Customers can quickly access the temperature of the storage configuration and adjust fan speed to help ensure the drives stay healthy and run well. In addition, a built-in error alarm can be set to activate in the case of temperature- or enclosure-related warning or failure.
- Designed with Scalability and Flexibility in Mind
- The RocketStor 6124V's open approach to storage applications allows customers to use their choice of SATA drives from most major drive brands, including HGST, Seagate, Toshiba, and WDC. The integrated Online Capacity Expansion (OCE) and Online RAID Level Migration (ORLM) features can add drives to existing RAID configurations and change one RAID type to another, on the fly. The four removable hot-swap bays support most 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drives or SSDs, up to 14TB in size, and up to 56TB of total storage capacity. Enterprise/NAS class drives are recommended for the RocketStor 6124V, and customers can tailor storage configurations to meet each application's performance and budget requirements.
