• HighPoint RocketStor 6324LS 4-Bay JBOD Solution with Thunderbolt 2 Adapter Add Thunderbolt 2 speed and storage to your Windows and Mac computer using the RocketStor 6324LS 4-Bay JBOD Solution with Thunderbolt 2 Adapter from HighPoint. This is a manufacturer's kit that includes a 4-Bay Tower Enclosure that has a single Mini-SAS port as well as a Mini-SAS to Thunderbolt 2 adapter so it may be used with Thunderbolt-compatible computers. However, please be aware that this adapter does not include a hardware RAID controller.
  
  This array enclosure comes with 4 SATA III 3.5" drive bays and connects to the included Thunderbolt 2 RocketStor adapter via one Mini-SAS cable. Out of the box, the drives work in JBOD mode where each drive is handled independently with its own drive letter. These drives can be software reconfigured in different RAID options that offer redundancy, speed, or a combination of both. RAID software is not included.
  
  This RocketStor Adapter features two Thunderbolt 2 ports that each provide 20 Gb/s of bandwidth and are also backwards compatible with 10 Gb/s Thunderbolt technology. For Mac users, there is native support for Apple's Time Machine backup software. The RocketStor 6324LS operates at 90-264V and includes a 3.3' / 1m Thunderbolt cable, one Mini-SAS cable, and a limited 1-year warranty.

• 4 x WD 4TB Red 5400 rpm SATA III 3.5" Internal NAS HDD (OEM) Designed with home and small office/business customers in mind, the 4TB Red 5400 rpm SATA III 3.5" Internal NAS HDD from WD is well-suited for NAS environments with up to eight 3.5" drive bays. Engineered to handle increased workloads, this 4TB drive operates using a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, a 64MB cache, and a rotational speed of 5400 rpm, all of which help to ensure uninterrupted data transfers with a sustained rate of up to 150 MB/s. This drive also features high levels of reliability, with 600,000 load/unload cycles, <10 in 10¹⁴ non-recoverable read errors per bits read, error recovery controls, and 1,000,000 hours MTBF for 1-8 bay NAS systems. Also built into this drive are noise and vibration protection and WD's NASware 3.0 helps increase system compatibility, allowing WD Red drives to be more easily integrated with your existing network infrastructure.
