Product description HighPoint lets you to build a complete external storage solution with the RocketStor 6418TS Eight-Bay Q-SATA Turbo RAID Tower Enclosure. This DAS comes with Q-SATA connectivity technology that delivers instant access to eight of your drives by offering an individual SATA 6 Gb/s lane for each drive. To fully utilize the performance of an internal drive system externally, the enclosure provides eight SATA-based hot-swappable bays that can each support a 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive or an SSD. Furthermore, you can configure the drives in a RAID mode by utilizing the downloadable RAID management software suite.
The 8-port host adapter card occupies a PCIe 2.0 x8 slot inside your desktop and delivers a total bandwidth speed of up to 24 Gb/s per SFF-8088 port. HighPoint has equipped this card with two SFF-8088 connectors that connect to the RocketStor 6418TS enclosure. To help keep your drives operating at peak performance, two cooling fans are onboard. In addition, this card features a low-profile design that is compatible with a small desktop case. - Q-SATA Connectivity Solution
- The Q-SATA connectivity solution utilizes a SFF-8088 connector that delivers four SATA 6 Gb/s lanes of performance at an affordable price point. "Q" refers to the performance capability of this connection that quadruples the SATA transfer bandwidth up to 24 GB/s, optimizing the RAID performance from your SATA-based SSDs and hard drives. Additionally, Q-SATA features a locking mechanism that ensures stable and reliable storage connectivity.
