Connectivity Solution
• The RocketStor 6421AS utilizes high-performance Mini-SAS connectivity to directly support up to four SAS/SATA hard drives or SSDs in one or more RAID storage configurations. The robust and secure Mini-SAS connector delivers a maximum data transfer bandwidth of 2400 MB/s, and is an ideal solution for professional and business class workstations that require highly sustained storage performance.

RAID Architecture
• HighPoint's 6 Gb/s SAS/SATA RAID-on-Chip solutions provide an eight-lane PCI Express 2.0 host interface and incorporate ARM based processors and RAID 5/6 CRC32 engines with internal DDR3 memory to optimize transfer speeds and accelerate access times. The dedicated processor and memory allows our hardware RAID solutions to work independently and minimize the storage system's impact on the host's resources. The dedicated resources also allow hardware RAID solutions to support greater I/O queue depths and handle variable RAID Block Size, which maximize I/O efficiency and provide superior transfer performance for I/O intensive applications such as On Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) or web servers.

Data Availability and Accessibility
• Administrators can configure routine disk verification sessions using Storage Health Inspector (SHI) to proactively maintain the health of the entire storage system by examining each member of an array for failed sectors, which can be remapped or repaired on the fly to ensure storage remains active and accessible. With the management interface, administrators can initialize or schedule RAID verification sessions that check each disk member of an array for parity consistency. If any parity related problems are found, the interface will immediately rebuild the array to ensure the integrity of your data.

RAID Recovery
• HighPoint Hardware RAID solutions feature built-in NVRAM, which constantly tracks in-progress writes to preserve the integrity of data in the event of a drive failure or system crash, and streamline recovery procedures while minimizing downtime. Administrators can initialize or schedule RAID verification sessions that check each disk member of an array for parity consistency. If any parity related problems are found, the interface will immediately rebuild the array to ensure the integrity of your data.

Open-Box Storage Solution
• The RocketStor 6421AS features an "open-box" approach to storage, which grants customers the freedom to use their choice of SAS or SATA drive from all major drive brands including HGST, Seagate, Toshiba and WDC. Customers can add drives as needed to meet the evolving performance or capacity requirements of the storage application.
  
  The four removable hot-swap bays support any 2.5" or 3.5" SATA / SAS Hard Drive or SSD, and up to 40TB of total storage capacity. Enterprise / NAS class drives are recommended for RocketStor RAID Solutions; customers can tailor storage configurations to meet each application's performance and budget requirements.

RAID Storage Expansion Ready
• The RocketStor 6421AS provides many storage expansion options; customers can upgrade sub-terabyte single drive configurations to RAID arrays comprised of multiple 10TB hard disks, up to maximum capacity of 40TB. The RocketStor's Configurable Online Capacity Expansion and RAID Migration allow customers to modify RAID configurations or expand existing storage while avoiding complicated, time consuming backup and restoration procedures.

User-Friendly Management Suite & Intelligent Enclosure Management
• The RocketStor 6421AS includes a user-friendly web-based management interface available for Windows, and Mac OSX operating systems. Novices and experts alike, can quickly and easily configure, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot RAID configurations and individual storage devices, all from a single, unified software suite. Advanced Management Features allow customers to configure Email notification to inform one or more users of changing storage conditions while outside of the work environment, and manage storage remotely via a local network connection. LED's and configurable audible alarms are provided to quickly notify the administrator in the case of a component failure or environmental warning such as power loss or overheating.
