Product description The RocketStor 6421VS 1RU 4-Bay Value RAID Class Rackmount Enclosure Solution from HighPoint is an enterprise-grade storage solution that is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. It is designed for professional and business applications that require secure and high-performance RAID storage.The 6421VS supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, and JBOD. Its RAID controller is a RocketRAID 644LS, and it has a single, external Mini-SAS host interface and a PCIe 2.0 x4 bus interface. It also has a 1RU rackmount form factor and its four drive bays support 3.5" SATA hot-swappable hard drives. Using a port multiplier, up to 20 devices can be supported. The 6421VS features a modular design that helps simplify installation and maintenance sessions. It also features LEDs and audible alarms for all major hardware components, including storage devices, power supply units, and a cooling apparatus. Each removable hot-swap drive tray includes both power and activity LEDs and was designed to work in conjunction with the RAID Management interface to help quickly identify and isolate a faulty or failed disk. The cooling fans and IPC-grade power supply are also modular for easy removal and replacement, while the LEDs and configurable audible alarms are provided to help quickly notify the administrator in the case of a component failure or overheating. The 6421VS includes BIOS-level management, a web-based RAID interface, and optional CLI packages for Linux and FreeBSD platforms. The web-based interface, "WebGUI," works with most browsers and allows administrators to quickly and easily monitor, maintain, and configure RAID arrays and individual storage devices. The RocketStor 6421VS is a complete turnkey solution. It operates using a 250W power supply that accepts inputs ranging from 90-230 VAC at 50-60 Hz. This retail kit includes the RocketRAID 644LS RAID controller, 4 x hard drive trays, 1 x Mini-SAS cable, 1 x power cord, 16 x hard drive mounting screws, and 2 x hard drive tray keys.
