Product description Connect additional Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, and USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A peripherals to your compatible Windows or Mac system using the RocketStor 6661A-2USB Thunderbolt 3 to USB 3.1 Gen 2 Adapter from HighPoint. This adapter is equipped with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, which provide bi-directional speeds of 40 Gb/s. While one port is used to interface with your host system, the other can be used to daisy-chain up to six devices together, including dual 4K displays or a single 5K display, thanks to support for DisplayPort 1.2. Thunderbolt 3 also supports 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C and provides 15W of power to compatible devices for charging.
In addition to the Thunderbolt 3 ports, the RocketStor 6661A-2USB has one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port and one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port, each of which supports one USB device. Each of these ports is also driven by a dedicated USB controller, meaning that each port has 10 Gb/s of dedicated bandwidth, instead of the 10 Gb/s being shared between the two ports.
HighPoint's RocketStor 6661A-2USB Thunderbolt 3 to USB 3.1 Gen 2 Adapter is compatible with Thunderbolt 2 devices, as well as USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0), and USB 2.0. Please be aware that any daisy-chain connections will terminate if a peripheral or device is connected via USB Type-C. Included is a Thunderbolt 3 cable, a 60W / 100-240 VAC external power supply, and a power cord. Protection is provided by a limited 1-year parts & labor warranty. Each RocketStor 6661A-2USB provides both USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C connectivity for increased compatibility and ease of use. Though optimized for external USB storage devices such as enclosures, USB drives, and docks, the RocketStor 6661A-2USB is also capable of supporting USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) and USB 2.0 devices and peripherals.

- The RocketStor 6661A-2USB takes full advantage of HighPoint's performance-driven USB 3.1 Gen 2 architecture. Unlike conventional USB cards, docks, and hubs, which split a single 10 Gb/s channel between two or more ports, the RocketStor 6661A-2USB provides dedicated 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 transfer bandwidth for the Type-A and Type-C connectors. This unique approach to USB connectivity is well-suited for high-speed USB-based storage applications.

- Like other HighPoint Thunderbolt 3 I/O solutions, the RocketStor 6661A-2USB was designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. The unit is shipped pre-assembled, and is ready to use right out of the box. Simply connect the RocketStor to your Thunderbolt Windows or Mac system using the included 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 cable, plug in the power adapter, and you are ready to go.

- The RocketStor 6661A-2USB is capable of supporting nearly any industry-standard USB port type when used in conjunction with the HighPoint USB-C31-1MA (Type-A to Type-C) and USB-A31-06B (Type-A to Micro-B) device cables. HighPoint device cables are manufactured to meet high quality standards, and are thoroughly tested to ensure secure connectivity and fast data transfers.
