Product description Add Thunderbolt-compatible PCIe x16, x8, and x4 cards to your system, including audio, video capture, Ethernet, Fibre Channel, storage/RAID controllers cards, and PCIe SSDs using the RocketStor 6661A Thunderbolt 3 to PCIe 3.0 x16 Expansion Chassis from HighPoint. Its lightweight, small-footprint design is well-suited for compact workstations and mobile computing platforms such as iMacs, MacBook Pros, and more. At 7" tall and less than 3" wide, the RocketStor 6661A is small enough to pack into a laptop bag but can also support full-sized PCIe 3.0 add-in cards in its open-ended PCIe 3.0 x4 slot.
Aside from its PCIe slot, the RocketStor 6661A is equipped with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, which provide bi-directional speeds of 40 Gb/s. While one port is used to interface with your host system, the other can be used to daisy-chain up to six devices together, including dual 4K displays or a single 5K display, thanks to support for DisplayPort 1.2. Thunderbolt 3 also supports 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C and provides 15W of power to compatible devices for charging.
HighPoint's RocketStor 6661A Thunderbolt 3 to PCIe 3.0 x16 Expansion Chassis is compatible with Thunderbolt 2 devices, as well as USB 3.1 Gen 2 (USB 3.1). Please be aware that any daisy-chain connections will terminate if a peripheral or device is connected via USB Type-C. Included is a Thunderbolt 3 cable, a 60W external power supply, and a power cord. Protection is provided by a limited 1-year warranty.
