Product description This 120V Wasp 1000 Plasma PAR Light with Remote Ballast Kit was put together by Hive Lighting for image-makers who require a great deal of light backed by a comprehensive collection of modifiers. This version of the Wasp removes the power supply from the head to create a lighter weight unit that is more easily supported when mounted at significant heights. The Wasp 1000 then connects to the remote ballast via its 32' header cable. The kit includes the Wasp head with a 1000W plasma bulb, a 12-Degree Spot Reflector, accessory ring, 4-way barndoors and a 5-piece scrim Set. Also provided are a 4-piece HDP Lens Set for varying the light's beam spread, a 32' Header Cable, and a 120V Remote Ballast. The Wasp 1000 Plasma Head is a single point light source with performance similar to an 1800 to 2500W HMI (or 5000W tungsten fixture), but unlike an HMI it has an extremely low power draw. While the HMI consumes 2.5K of current, the Wasp uses just 150W, which means you can run 2 of them on a 20A, 120 VAC circuit. And performance isn't limited to power. The daylight-balanced Wasp outputs full spectrum, 98 CRI dimmable light at 6500K that's flicker-free at any frame rate, making it ideal for high-speed work. Ideal for long throw work, at 50' the Wasp 1000 reads f16 at spot and f4/5.6 at flood with an ISO of 800. The light has a combination 5/8" receiver / 1-1/8" pin mount.
