Product description Compact and simple in design, the $50 Follow Focus from Hondo Garage lets you achieve smooth focus pulls with any lens that sports a cinema standard 0.8 MOD gear. Secure the follow focus to a standard 15mm rod and position it so the gear interlocks with your lens; all that's left to do is move the lever to control focus. Photography lenses without integrated gears can use separately available lens gears to take advantage of the smoothness of the follow focus. The unified design of the unit precludes the need for a gear box, eliminating the rotational play found in many traditional follow focuses. Teflon thrust washers ensure that the focusing action is damped, and the friction is user-adjustable. Repeatable focus pulls can be easily achieved by marking your focus end-points using a separately available white grease pencil.
