Product description Honeywell's RTH6580WF Wi-Fi 7-Day Programmable Thermostat provides precise digital control over the heating and cooling system in your home or business over Wi-Fi. By downloading the free iOS and Android Total Connect Comfort App, you can then remotely monitor and manage your heating and cooling system from anywhere with a Wi-Fi signal. It also has a large, easy-to-read LCD display screen to make manual adjustments faster and simpler. After installing the thermostat in a room, it will need to be connected to your wireless network so you can remotely access and control its features
This programmable thermostat has a variety of features designed for added convenience, such as preset heating and cooling schedules, 7-day temperature programming, 5-day weather forecasts in your local area, low and high temperature fluctuation alerts, as well as HVAC filter change reminders to ensure that you're optimally conserving energy. Additionally, the Vacation Hold mode allows you to suspend your regularly programmed schedule while you are away. Simply select the number of days you will be on vacation, and select a temperature to be maintained until the selected number of days has elapsed, after which your previously programmed schedule will resume.
This thermostat is a suitable solution for frequent travelers, property renters and owners, and anyone who wants the convenience of being able to control a thermostat wirelessly even when they're not physically in their office or residence. Screws and anchors, wire labels, and a thermostat ID card are included to facilitate setup and installation. - Home Compatibility
- In order to power the Wi-Fi 7-Day Programmable Thermostat, your current home or business wiring system must contain a C-wire. This thermostat works with common 24V systems such as forced air, hydronic, heat pump, oil, gas, and electric, but will not work will millivolt systems, such as a gas fireplace, or with 120/240V systems such as baseboard electric heat.
- Real-Time Clock
- This thermostat's real-time clock keeps track of the date/time and daylight saving settings automatically when connected via Wi-Fi. In the event of a power failure or if connection to the internet is lost, the thermostat will continue its normal scheduling pattern when it's back online.
- S.M.A.R.T. Response
- This feature allows the thermostat to predict how long your heating/cooling system takes to reach programmed temperature settings, so the temperature is reached at the time you set. For example, if your program time is set to 6:30 am, and the temperature is set to 72°, the heat will come on before 6:30 am, so the temperature is 72° by 6:30 am.
- Preset Energy-Saving Schedules
- This thermostat is preset with energy-saving program settings for four time periods. The four settings are: Wake, Leave, Return, and Sleep. Each time frame has its own default heat and cool temperature settings designed to reduce your energy spending if used as directed. Keep in mind that savings and cooling and heating needs may vary with geographic location and usage.
- Vacation Hold
- You can suspend your regularly programmed schedule while you are away by setting the vacation hold feature. Simply select the number of days you will be away, and select a temperature, which will be maintained 24 hours a day until the selected number of days has elapsed. Once vacation hold elapses, your previously programmed schedule will resume at the time you set.
- Weather Reports
- View local weather and 5-day forecasts on this thermostat to help you decide on changes to your temperature settings and preset programming.
- 7-Day Programming
- Set heating and cooling temperature parameters through Honeywell's web portal for up to one week.
- Filter Change Reminder
- If this feature is activated during installation, the thermostat will alert you with a message when it's time to replace your HVAC filter.
