Product description

The 1.6TB Mainstream Endurance SAS-3 2.5" Internal SC Enterprise H2 SSD from HP is designed to provide high write performance and endurance. It is best suited for mission-critical enterprise environments with workloads high in read and write speeds. Write Intensive workloads include online transaction processing (OLTP), virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), business intelligence, Big Data Analytics, and more. This drive has a capacity of 1.6TB, a SAS-3 12 Gb/s interface, a 2.5" / 15mm form factor, a workload rating of greater than or equal to 10 drive writes per day, sequential reads of up to 1,000 MiB/s, sequential writes of up to 565 MiB/s, random reads of up to 66,000 IOPS, and random writes of up to 62,000 IOPS. It comes installed in a Hot Plug SmartDrive carrier, which helps to enable a more balanced system architecture for unified storage, improved performance, and greater reliability. SmartDrive carriers also proactively warn against data loss when removing a drive.

Solid-state drives offer high performance, low latency, and low power solutions that fit into into the HPE server infrastructure, such as ProLiant servers and Synergy platforms, using HP's universal hot plug drive carrier. HPE Enterprise SSDs also support Power Loss Protection (PLP). Please note that as this drive has SC in the product name, it is only compatible with Gen8 and later hot plug server bays and cannot be used in any other server generation.
