Product description

Basic Laptops The 11.6" 16GB Chromebook 11 G5 from HP is a simple system designed for everyday tasks such as browsing the Internet, composing and editing documents, and streaming online videos. Powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron N3060 dual-core processor, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and integrated graphics, this system lets you multitask and quickly access frequently used files and programs. Its 11.6" touchscreen has a 1366 x 768 resolution, which offers crisp and clear HD content reproduction. With touchscreen capabilities, you'll be able to utilize touch gestures and functions to enhance its efficienty and accessibility. Moreover, Corning Gorilla Glass is on board to protect the display from taps, swipes, and other multi-touch gestures.

Like most Chromebooks, storage space is limited since most Chrome applications are web-based, thus it only has 16GB of eMMC storage, which holds the Chrome operating system. 100GB of online storage with Google Drive is included for 2 years to store your docs, photos, videos, and more. Should you need more, you can connect external storage solutions using its USB ports. There's also a HDMI port should you wish to connect an additional monitor for enhanced multitasking or larger viewing.

This educational edition of the Chromebook 11 G5 series is armed with co-molded rubber edges and a spill-resistant keyboard to provide durability in educational and travel environments.

Connect to the Internet via 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi and pair compatible peripherals with Bluetooth 4.2 to free up its USB ports for more important devices. Other integrated features include a webcam with microphone for video chatting, pair of speakers, SDXC media card reader, and mic/headphone combo jack.

Please note that in order to take full advantage of Chrome OS, you will need to be connected to the Internet.

  • Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the Internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the Internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
