Product description Designed for mobile professionals who need a business-rugged notebook with enhance system and graphics performance in a managed-IT environment, the 15.6" EliteBook 850 G3 Laptop from HP is thin at 0.76" and weighs 4.06 lb. It allows users to create, connect, and collaborate, using Enterprise-class performance technology to help boost productivity both within and outside of the office.
The EliteBook 850 G3 is powered by a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7-6600U Dual-Core processor which will allow users to run multiple applications simultaneously. If you need more power, the CPU can be overclocked to 3.4 GHz. The 8GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 SDRAM also helps the computer to run multiple applications simultaneously, as well as access frequently-used files and programs. The current memory configuration is one 8GB module with an additional slot available for memory upgrades, making for a total of two 260-pin SO-DIMM slots. With both slots in use, this system supports 32GB of RAM, or 16GB per slot.
The 15.6" TN Slim eDP SVA anti-glare display features a Full HD 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, LED-backlighting, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a typical contrast ratio of 400:1, a response time of 16ms, 142 ppi, a brightness of 300 nits, and viewing angles of 45/45/25/35°.. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 delivers a sharp, clear picture, and you'll also be able to output video to an external display using the system's DisplayPort 1.2 port at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, and the VGA port at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz.
For long-term storage of your files, a 256 GB M.2 2280 SATA III Self-Encrypting Drive (Opal 2) MLC SSD offers quick access to your data. If you want to add external storage drives or other peripherals, the EliteBook 850 G3 features two 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as a charging port, one 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-C port, and a docking connector. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac Wi-Fi are also built-in for wired and wireless networking and Bluetooth 4.2 technology will also allow you to connect additional compatible peripherals. So that content from memory cards may be accessed, a built-in SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader lets users download content from their digital camera. Other integrated features include a 720p webcam, dual-array microphones, and stereo speakers with Bang & Olufsen HD audio.
The EliteBook 850 G3 Laptop includes a Smart AC adapter and an HP 3-cell / 46Wh Lithium-ion polymer Long Life battery that can typically be recharged in 163 minutes, lasts for up to 12.5 hours of use, and up to 223 hours of standby time. While the installed operating system is Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), a Windows 10 Professional (64-bit) license is included at no additional cost, as is Windows 7 Professional (32/64-bit) recovery media. - The system features 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A ports and 1 x USB 3.0 Type-C port that will allow you to connect peripherals such as hard drives, printers, and memory card readers. At 5 Gb/s, USB 3.0 transfers data up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0, which operates at 480 Mb/s. USB 3.0's high-speed transfer rate helps to significantly reduce data transfer times, meaning you spend less time waiting and more time focusing on the task at hand. One of the USB 3.0 Type-A ports also doubles as a fast charging port, and the USB 3.0 Type-C port features a connector that may be inserted whether oriented right-side up or upside down.

- The system uses a Gigabit Ethernet controller for Internet access when connected to a router, modem, or network switch. It also features 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual-band Wi-Fi so that users may access network connectivity using wireless technology.

- Additional compatible peripherals, such as mice, keyboards, headsets, and more may be paired using Bluetooth 4.2 technology.
- DisplayPort & VGA
- The DisplayPort output supports resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz and the VGA port supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz. The resolutions are dependent upon monitor capabilities, and resolution and color depth settings.
- Multi-Display Support
- When used with an optional HP Ultraslim Docking Station, up to three independent displays are supported.
- Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) + Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) License
- This system is pre-installed with Windows 7 Professional software and also comes with a license and media for Windows 10 Pro software. You may only use one version of the Windows software at a time. Switching between versions will require you to uninstall one version and install the other version. You must back up all data (files, photos, etc.) before uninstalling and installing operating systems to avoid loss of your data.
