This anti-glare, BrightView panel features a native UWQHD+ resolution of 3840 x 1600 @ 60 Hz, In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology, a widescreen 21:9 aspect ratio, a radius value of 2300R, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 100.93 pixels per inch, and a 14 ms (on/off) response time that can be adjusted to 5 ms (GtG). Using the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position. This display can accept input signals using its DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 inputs, plus an upstream/downstream USB 3.0 Type-C port, which not only supports DisplayPort 1.2, but also power delivery up to 65W. Other featured connections include three downstream USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one of which provides 5V/2A of power for charging compatible devices.
HP has engineered the Z38c with 10-bit color that supports up to 1.07 billion colors and 98% of the sRGB color gamut with factory calibration of a color temperature of D65. Aside from its native 3840 x 1600 @ 60 Hz resolution, it is also able to support resolutions of 3840 x 1600 @ 30 Hz, 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz, 2560 x 1080 @ 60 Hz, 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz, 1280 x 720 @ 60 Hz, 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz, 1440 x 900 @ 60 Hz, 1600 x 900 @ 60 Hz, 1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz, 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz, 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz, 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz, 1920 x 1600 @ 60 Hz, 720 x 480 @ 60 Hz, 800 x 600 @ 60 Hz, 720 x 400 @ 70 Hz, and 640 x 480 @ 60 Hz.
To further help improve viewing and accessibility, the Z38c features a vertical tilt of -5 to 20°, a left/right swivel of ±45°, and a height adjustment of 4.7".
