Product description

• HP Z6 G4 Series Tower Workstation Enjoy smooth rendering of 3D models, compiling of programming codes, and handling of other intensive tasks with the Z6 G4 Series Tower Workstation from HP. Under the hood, an Intel Xeon Silver 4114 processor can be found along with 16GB of DDR4 ECC RAM that will accompany it. Never sacrifice performance with ten processing cores running between 2.2 and 3 GHz, while the ECC RAM automatically detects and corrects errors to help prevent data corruption. Beyond memory correction, an HP Z Turbo NVMe SSD operates under PCIe lanes that offer fast, sustained read and write performance for large file sizes. This solid-state drive is installed in an M.2 slot and provides 256GB of digital storage space, making it useful for recording or editing audio or high-resolution RAW video files. Windows 10 Pro 64 for Workstations is installed on this drive. Furthermore, HP has designed this Z8 G4 workstation with no integrated or dedicated graphics processing unit included, so you can tailor this system for your needs with a user-supplied graphics card.
  
  As for connectivity, you'll find two Gigabit Ethernet ports as well as ten USB 3.0 ports, with one of the USB ports supporting device charging. Other notable connections include one headset connector, audio-in, audio-out, PS/2 mouse, PS/2 keyboard, and serial. There's also a slim HP DVD writer for recording memories on to optical media. The expandability features on the HP Z6 G4 start with one M.2 slot as well as two 2.5"/3.5" internal bays and two 5.25" external bays. The workstation is armed with three PCIe 3.0 x4, one PCIe 3.0 x8, and two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots to enable support for optional Thunderbolt 3 cards, RAID controllers, and other useful PCIe cards. For accommodating up to 192GB of memory modules, a total of six memory slots are available. Additionally, the Z6 G4 can support a second sold-separately processor to further enhance the system's capabilities.

  Start Menu

  Microsoft Edge
  • After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.

  • For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
  Windows Continuum
  • Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
  Xbox on Windows 10
  • Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. • HP 1ME40AT Quadro P4000 Graphics Card Designed for efficient CAD, professional programming, VR production, and video editing and processing, the HP Quadro P4000 Graphics Card is based on NVIDIA's 16nm Pascal architecture. The GPU itself features 1792 CUDA cores coupled to 8GB of VRAM with a 256-bit memory bus providing a maximum of 5.3 TFLOPS of single-precision computing power. Using supported APIs and CUDA, that computing performance can translate into high resolution and realistic real-time 2D and 3D graphics rendering or improved computing speed with hardware acceleration. The output panel on this card features four DisplayPort terminals. Up to four monitors can be simultaneously supported by a single card, without any extra hardware, to create high-resolution video walls with your workstation or for more desktop real-estate to increase productivity. DisplayPort 1.4 support allows this card to drive UHD 5K displays as well. Included with the card is one DisplayPort to DVI-D SL adapter for connecting to legacy displays. Other separately available adapters can be used with this card to drive other kinds of displays and projectors. For cooling, an active fansink cooler uses a radial fan to force air through the card's heatsink, dissipating heat from the GPU and other internal components. This cooling configuration is best suited for cases with unrestricted airflow.
