Product description The Ibanez AE Series AE510 is an acoustic/electric guitar with a natural high-gloss finish and a single cutaway design. The instrument employs a solid Sitka spruce top and solid pau ferro back and sides. A set-in mahogany neck measuring 25.6" in scale is outfitted with a pau ferro fingerboard and a specially designed mother-of-pearl inlay. For electronics, this guitar sports an undersaddle T-bar pickup and Ibanez custom electronics. The electronics have been streamlined, offering no tonal controls—in order not to interfere with the instrument's acoustic resonance—and to work better with external preamps, such as the Ibanez AGP10. This unit is included with the AE510. Strings are affixed to the headstock with Gotoh SG301 tuners, and are secured to the body with a pau ferro bridge. Ornamental touches include pau ferro body binding, a pau ferro multi-wood back strip inlay, and a sound hole rosette made of maple and abalone. A hardshell case is included. - AE Body Shape
- Designed for projection, balance, and comfort, the AE's contemporary body shape offers the best of all worlds.
- Scallop X Bracing
- The AE features bracing designed to project the guitar's complete sonic spectrum. Including robust lows, pronounced mids, and articulate highs, the scalloped X bracing helps the guitar deliver all these qualities as well as complex overtones.
- Bone Nut & Bone 4mm Saddle
- The bone nut was chosen for its ability to transfer string vibration naturally. The 4mm bone saddle improves intonation accuracy.
- Included AGP10 Preamp
- Designed in collaboration with artists and sound engineers, the AGP10 is a standalone unit. In contrast with onboard electronics, this preamp preserves the guitar's integrity, both acoustically and structurally, while still providing the performer with easy access for on-the-fly adjustments. You'll note controls for bass, low-mids, mids, high-mids, treble, feedback frequencies, phase reverse, and overall level.
