Product description Styled in an antique yellow sunburst finish, the Artstar Series AS153 from Ibanez is a hollow-body electric guitar with a flamed maple body and a set-in mahogany/maple neck. The double-cutaway body delivers a warm, resonant sound that is well suited for playing jazz, blues, country, and rock. The neck is fitted with a 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard which has acrylic block inlays, and the headstock is equipped with a set of gold tuners. The strings are intonated by an ART-1 bridge and secured with a Quik Change III tailpiece.For electronics, the AS153 is equipped with a pair of Super 58 humbucking neck and bridge pickups, along with a 3-way pickup selector switch, and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. There's also a Tri-Sound switch for running your neck pickup in parallel or for coil-tapping it to secure a single-coil sound. The pickups offer a rich, nuanced tone with fat low end, which nicely complements the wood's inherent tonal qualities.This instrument is highly respected for its tone, sustain, and ability to hold its tuning, making it an ideal choice for players of all levels. It comes with a hardshell case. - Ebony Fretboard with Artstar Fret Edge Treatment
- The Ebony fingerboard with Artstar Fret Edge Treatment produces tight lows mids, as well as with plenty of attack on the high end. This fingerboard also features a quick response and rich sustain.
- Super 58 Pickups
- The Super 58 pickups deliver smooth, nuanced tones and a biting growl worthy of the blues.
- Tri-Sound Switch for Neck Pickup
- The Tri-Sound switch for the neck pickup allows you to select Humbucker in series (traditional), parallel (brighter, single-coil type tone with lower output and hum cancellation), or coil-tapping for a single coil sound.
- ART-1 Bridge & Quik Change III Tailpiece
- The ART-1 bridge provides sustain and tuning stability. The Quik Change III tailpiece enables fast and easy string changeovers.
