Product description Styled in a vintage sunburst finish, The Ibanez JSM100 is a hollow-body electric designed for and endorsed by Jazz guitar icon John Scofield, a player renowned for his expressive, bluesy playing and warm, yet sharp tone. The instrument itself is constructed out of figured anigre, which helps you to achieve a rich midrange and smooth attack on the high end. With this guitar, you can elicit a warm, resonant sound that is well suited for playing jazz, blues, country, and rock.The JSM mahogany neck is fitted with a 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard that boasts abalone and acrylic block inlays, and the headstock is equipped with a set of Gotoh tuning machines. Gotoh machinery is used in the bridge and tailpiece too—specifically, a Gotoh 510BN tune-o-matic style bridge and a GE101A tailpiece.For electronics, the JSM100 provides Super 58 humbucking pickups that offer a warm, bluesy sound with a bit of growl. These pickups are selectable via a 3-way toggle switch, and can be adjusted using the dedicated volume and tone controls for each pickup. A hardshell case is included. - Compound Radius Neck
- The JSM100's digitized compound radius neck is built to facilitate both smooth chord-melody playing and upper-fret single-line work.
- Figured Anigre Top, Back & Sides
- Figured Anigre features a beautiful wood grain, which produces a rich midrange and smooth attack on the high end.
- Ebony Fingerboard
- Ebony produces a tight low end and midrange response with a noticeable attack on the high end. It also features a quick response and rich sustain.
- Super 58 Humbucking Pickups
- The Super 58 pickups produce classic, warm and versatile tones.
- Half-Bone/Half-Brass Nut
- A half-bone, half-brass nut provides a balance of highs and lows.
