Product description Styled in natural finish, the Ibanez SR Premium Series SR1700BE is an electric bass with a litany of woods used throughout its construction. The body's top is comprised of poplar burl and walnut, while the body itself is fashioned out of mahogany. The 5-piece, 34"-scale Atlas-4 neck is fashioned out of panga panga and purpleheart. The bound panga panga fingerboard sports 24 medium frets with abalone oval inlay.
For electronics, the instrument is outfitted with two Nordstrand Big Single pickups, which offer a full-bodied, aggressive, single-coil tone in both the neck and bridge positions. Further enhancing your timbre is a three-band EQ with a 3-position switch that changes the center frequency of the midrange. Should you want to switch the EQ out, you can do so by means of a 2-position toggle that turns your treble knob into an overall tone control. Other features include a Mono-rail V bridge, GOTOH tuners, and a Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nut. A gig bag is included. - Premium Fret Edge Treatment

- These Nordstrand Big Single pickups cram as meaty a tone that you can get out of a single-coil in a soapbar configuration. A full-bodied, powerful, and aggressive tone is on hand, one that still retains the clarity characteristic of single coil pickups.
- Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ with Multiple Switches
- By means of an extensive EQ section, this bass offers precision tonal control, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. In active mode, you can boost and attenuate the bass, midrange, and trebles, even selecting midrange frequencies by means of a separate 3-position switch. In passive mode, the treble knob becomes the global tone control.
- Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL Nut
- The Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nut offers ultimately lower friction to keep you in tune, giving clearer sound and sustain all the while.
- Mono-Rail V Bridge
- The Mono-Rail V provides bass string isolation. Each element of the bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference.
- Gotoh Machine Heads
- The Gotoh machine heads offer excellent tuning stability.
